Ravenna FC: Marco Marchionni is the new head coach of the first team

The Ravenna FC officially announces that it has entrusted the technical management of the first team to Marco Marchionni.

The former footballer, with a wealth of experience in Serie A and at the international level, arrives on the yellow-red bench to reverse the trend of recent matches.

Marchionni, who will be accompanied in yellow and red by assistant Massimiliano Capriolo and technical collaborator Daniel Neri, comes from significant experiences as a coach. Notably, among his coaching experiences, he won the Serie D championship with Novara in the 21/22 season.

The company is convinced that its vision and charisma will be able to convey new energy to the team, aiming for significant results both on the field and in the development of individual players.

The first words of the new coach will be released during the press conference for the presentation, which will take place on the eve of the league debut against San Marino Calcio at the press room of the Bruno Benelli stadium.

To Marco Marchionni and his staff goes the warmest welcome from Ravenna FC, with the hope of embarking together on a journey full of satisfaction.

Derby Imolese - Ravenna FC, decides Onofri

Ravenna FC wins the derby against Imolese with a crucial 0-1, thanks to Onofri's goal in the 17th minute. The yellow-reds secure three valuable points in a hard-fought match, defending tenaciously after Nappello's red card in the 59th minute.

The match opens with an aggressive Ravenna, which immediately seeks to trouble Imolese. Antonioli’s team creates several opportunities, but the well-organized Imolese manages to hold their ground against the visitors. The key moment comes in the 17th minute, when a free kick in favor of Ravenna leads to the decisive goal: Onofri, in an offensive position, capitalizes on a short rebound from the goalkeeper to head the ball into the net, putting the yellow-reds in the lead.

L’Imolese, down by a goal, tries to react, looking to take control of the game, but Ravenna proves solid in defense and closes off all spaces. The first half ends without any major chances, with the home team struggling to find openings.

In the second half, the key moment comes in the 59th minute when Nappello is sent off for a foul. Ravenna, now down to ten men, tightens its defense even further and withstands the Imolese’s attempts, who increase the pressure in search of an equalizer. Despite being a man down, the yellow and reds defend in an organized manner and give very little away to their opponents.

The most dangerous opportunity for Imolese comes in the final minutes, when Gasperoni attempts a close-range shot that is providentially saved by Onofri, who is not only the scorer of the winning goal but also made a crucial defensive intervention.

With this victory, Ravenna FC takes home three important points, demonstrating great character and defensive solidity in a derby that is always highly contested.

Ravenna FC defeated 1-2 by Sasso Marconi: disappointing performance

Ravenna FC suffered a 1-2 defeat in a home match against a more determined and reactive Sasso Marconi, who posed a threat from the early minutes of the game.

The match opens up in the 5th minute with a move from the visitors: Jassey makes a vertical run and, once inside the area, accurately strikes with his right foot, finding the top corner and putting Sasso Marconi in the lead. Ravenna struggles to find their rhythm, and Sasso continues to apply pressure, becoming dangerous again shortly after with a stolen ball on the edge of the box.

The yellow-reds try to create some plays, but the visiting team seems more reactive in every phase of the game. The turning point for Ravenna comes in the 30th minute, when Guida is brought down in the box and the referee awards a penalty. Nappello does not miss from the spot, calmly leveling the match.

In the second half, Mister Antonioli’s boys try to change the pace, but Sasso Marconi still proves to be more incisive. In the 61st minute, Dame scores the decisive goal: a beautiful header that surpasses Fresia and puts the guests back in the lead.

Despite the changes made by Antonioli and the team’s efforts, Ravenna fails to find the equalizer and ends the match with a lackluster performance, losing 1-2.

The Ravenna Football Club welcomes Mauro Antonioli back

The coach who led the team to promotion to Serie C returns to the giallorossa bench

The Ravenna Football Club is pleased to announce that the technical direction of the first team has been entrusted to Mauro Antonioli.

No major introductions are needed for a coach who is associated with one of the most memorable moments in recent giallorossa history: the remarkable comeback against Imolese and the victory in the 2016/17 season that earned promotion back to Serie C. Antonioli demonstrated his professionalism by securing a well-earned safety with five games to spare in the following season. After his time with Ravenna, the Milan-born coach, born in 1968, has led Reggiana, Fermana, Sambenedettese, Imolese, and Forlì.

In this second chapter of his adventure with Ravenna FC, he will once again be accompanied by his long-time assistant Ivan Piccoli and Ermes Morini as the goalkeeping coach.

The club's management extends a warm welcome to Mauro Antonioli and his staff, wishing them a season full of success and satisfaction for the yellow and red colors.
