Ravenna Football Club donates tickets to guests of “Il Re di Girgenti.”
Ravenna Football Club donates tickets to guests of “Il Re di Girgenti.”
Ravenna FC, committed to values of inclusion, participation, and social cohesion, announces the donation of free tickets to the guests and users of the “Il Re di Girgenti” reception facility, managed by the Ravenna Anti-Drug Citizens’ Committee and supported by the Municipality. The initiative aims to promote access to sport as a tool for integration and sharing, providing a communal experience for people facing social vulnerability or marginalization.
The first tickets were handed out during the Ravenna – Pontedera match on December 7, 2025, in the presence of the initiative’s organizers, members of the Board of the Ravenna Anti-Drug Citizens’ Committee, and the first recipients of the complimentary tickets. Before kickoff, an official photo was taken with the organizers and participants to highlight the social value of the project.
The initiative will continue throughout the season: for each home match, two complimentary tickets will be made available, allowing more guests to experience the stadium atmosphere and support the Ravenna FC team.
City councilor Federica Savini, who promoted the initiative, stated: “My father volunteers every Friday, distributing meals at the ‘Il Re di Girgenti’ facility, and he is a big Ravenna fan: that’s where the idea came from. This initiative is a way to recognize the dedication of volunteers who support the guests every day, to highlight an important part of our city, and to give visibility to issues such as social sustainability, integration, and sport. I believe it is essential to promote the messages of inclusivity that sports clubs, thanks to their ability to reach a wide audience, can spread.”
Ravenna FC General Manager Paolo Scocco stated: “Welcoming the Re di Girgenti association to the stands of the Benelli was a great pleasure for us and a sign of attention towards an organization that works daily to support the most vulnerable members of our community. We believe that football can and should engage with the local area and with those associations that strengthen its social fabric. We thank Re di Girgenti for their presence and for the work they do every day, with the hope of sharing new opportunities for engagement in the future.”

Christmas with style, flavor, and a big heart: the Ravenna FC & Mercato Coperto charity project kicks off to support research on childhood diabetes
Ravenna FC, in collaboration with Ravenna’s Mercato Coperto, launches a special initiative combining craftsmanship, social responsibility, and global commitment: a selection of handcrafted Ravenna FC-branded cookies, available exclusively at the Mercato Coperto, in support of the international organization Life for a Child, dedicated to the prevention and treatment of childhood diabetes.
For every package purchased, €1 will be donated to Life for a Child, which operates in over 40 countries worldwide to provide treatment and access to medication for children with type 1 diabetes.
A global project with strong local roots as well, supported and promoted by Professor Paolo Di Bartolo, Head of the Diabetology Department at Ravenna Hospital, who has always been at the forefront of research and awareness initiatives.
The cookies, made with carefully selected ingredients and produced by an artisanal workshop engaged in social integration and reintegration, are available in various traditional varieties: Romagna sugar cookies, desert roses, red wine biscuits, and jam-filled “occhio di bue.” An assortment that evokes the warmth of home, tradition, and inclusion.
The elegant packaging, fully branded with Ravenna FC, makes these cookies the perfect original and charitable Christmas gift: a present that tells a story of the city, sport, and care for others. A tangible gesture that, with style and good taste, helps improve the lives of many children around the world.
The initiative aims to involve not only the fans but also the increasingly broad, diverse, and international audience that animates the historic center of Ravenna every day. It’s an invitation to take part in a simple yet powerful gesture that unites sport, territory, and solidarity.
Ravenna FC and the Mercato Coperto invite everyone to take part: choosing these cookies means giving a gift that goes beyond Christmas, leaving a genuine mark of care and attention.
