The 13th and 14th matchdays of Lega Pro will be dedicated to the initiative.
Lega Pro is joining the #ioleggoperché campaign, organized by the Italian Publishers Association and now in its tenth edition. Over the years, the initiative has promoted reading among young people, enriching the library collections of Italian schools with more than three million books.
The Serie C Sky Wifi championship, which involves 18 regions, 60 cities, and millions of fans and supporters, will open the doors of its stadiums for two matchdays—the 13th and 14th of the first half of the season—on the weekends of November 7–10 and November 14–17, 2025. On those occasions, the team captains and the referee will take to the field holding #ioleggoperché books, which they will then donate to the children accompanying them. A pre-match ceremony dedicated to promoting reading—complete with LED graphics, a stadium speaker message, and social media content—will invite everyone to donate a book from November 7 to 16 to the libraries of more than 25,000 participating nurseries and schools.
“With joy and enthusiasm, Lega Pro renews once again this year its commitment to supporting the #ioleggoperché campaign,” said Lega Serie C President Matteo Marani. “Sport and culture must move forward together. Reading opens the mind, conveys knowledge, and educates. Culture teaches the rules of respect and equality, and it is essential to foster the habit of reading among the youngest generations. I reiterate the invitation to everyone to visit bookstores from November 7 to 16 and make their contribution to enrich school libraries.”
