Christmas with style, flavor, and a big heart: the Ravenna FC & Mercato Coperto charity project kicks off to support research on childhood diabetes
Ravenna FC, in collaboration with Ravenna’s Mercato Coperto, launches a special initiative combining craftsmanship, social responsibility, and global commitment: a selection of handcrafted Ravenna FC-branded cookies, available exclusively at the Mercato Coperto, in support of the international organization Life for a Child, dedicated to the prevention and treatment of childhood diabetes.
For every package purchased, €1 will be donated to Life for a Child, which operates in over 40 countries worldwide to provide treatment and access to medication for children with type 1 diabetes.
A global project with strong local roots as well, supported and promoted by Professor Paolo Di Bartolo, Head of the Diabetology Department at Ravenna Hospital, who has always been at the forefront of research and awareness initiatives.
The cookies, made with carefully selected ingredients and produced by an artisanal workshop engaged in social integration and reintegration, are available in various traditional varieties: Romagna sugar cookies, desert roses, red wine biscuits, and jam-filled “occhio di bue.” An assortment that evokes the warmth of home, tradition, and inclusion.
The elegant packaging, fully branded with Ravenna FC, makes these cookies the perfect original and charitable Christmas gift: a present that tells a story of the city, sport, and care for others. A tangible gesture that, with style and good taste, helps improve the lives of many children around the world.
The initiative aims to involve not only the fans but also the increasingly broad, diverse, and international audience that animates the historic center of Ravenna every day. It’s an invitation to take part in a simple yet powerful gesture that unites sport, territory, and solidarity.
Ravenna FC and the Mercato Coperto invite everyone to take part: choosing these cookies means giving a gift that goes beyond Christmas, leaving a genuine mark of care and attention.
