Ravenna FC conquers Calbi: Di Renzo seals the away win

The Giallorossi dominate the first half, struggle in the second, but Fresia secures three valuable points in the final minutes.

Ravenna FC continues its push toward the top with a narrow but well-deserved victory over San Marino, defeating them 1-0 at the “Calbi” in Cattolica. The win came thanks to a first half of high intensity and quality, capped by Di Renzo’s goal. In the second half, the Giallorossi dropped their line, only being threatened near the end, when a miraculous save by Fresia secured the three points.

Ravenna starts the match strongly, and in the 2nd minute creates the first chance with Di Renzo, who wins the ball and breaks forward, but his pass to Zagre is slightly off target. The Giallorossi impose their rhythm and come close again with a sharp cross from Milan, on which Di Renzo just misses the decisive touch.
Marchionni’s side keeps up the pressure, and in the 20th minute it results in a triple opportunity: first Milan, then Guida, both blocked by the defense, and finally Biagi, who shoots over the bar. Ravenna is dangerous again in the 36th minute when Venturini curls a shot that forces Branduani into a brilliant save for a corner.
The goal is in the air and comes in the 41st minute: Biagi wins the ball with effective pressing, beats an opponent, and finds Di Renzo, who calmly finishes past Branduani. It’s the striker’s third goal in the last two games, allowing Ravenna to deservedly go into halftime in front after a dominant first half.

In the second half, the game takes a different shape: Ravenna drops deeper, focusing on controlling the match and no longer creating significant chances. The slim lead keeps the fans on edge, but San Marino struggles to generate real opportunities, except in the 90th minute, when Haruna finds Di Francesco with a header—the only real scare of the day. The Biancoazzurri striker’s header looks destined for the net, but Fresia produces an extraordinary save, securing both the result and the victory.

With these three points, Ravenna remains two points behind Forlì and continues its chase for the top spot. The duel will resume next week with an interesting twist in the schedule: both contenders will face the teams from Prato, keeping the promotion race fiercely contested.

Ravenna FC travels to Calbi: aiming for three points against the Titans

San Marino-Ravenna FC: a tricky test following the Coppa Italia triumph

After the midweek feat against Lavagnese, which secured Ravenna FC their first-ever Serie D Coppa Italia final, the Giallorossi are back in action for the 26th league matchday. Awaiting them is San Marino, in a clash to be played on the synthetic pitch of the Calbi Stadium in Cattolica.

A match full of pitfalls awaits, both due to Marchionni’s squad needing to manage their energy after the Coppa Italia effort, and because of San Marino’s recent progress. After a difficult start under Cascione, the Biancazzurri changed pace with the arrival of Oberdan Biagioni on the bench. The experienced coach restored solidity and confidence to a team that now fights with determination for survival and, in the previous round, achieved a valuable and unexpected victory on Prato’s ground.

The winter transfer window has given new energy to the Titani, with the addition of central defender Yakubiv and, above all, striker Passewe, already with five goals to his name and a dangerous offensive reference. Ravenna will therefore need to stay highly focused, aware of the importance of securing a positive result to continue their push toward the top and keep the pressure on Forlì high.

Physical conditions are not optimal for the Giallorossi: Lo Bosco and Onofri will remain sidelined, while efforts continue to recover Amoabeng. In midfield, Ilari is still absent, whereas Mereghetti is approaching a return. A positive note comes from Nappello’s return to the group, as he will aim to regain his best form.

As always, Ravenna will be propelled by its fans. With 600 tickets available for the away section, a strong turnout of Giallorossi supporters is expected, ready to make their presence felt and drive the team in a crucial match for the continuation of the season. Their support will be essential for facing a delicate away game with maximum energy and determination.

Ravenna in the Final: A Historic Achievement for the Giallorossi

A draw in Lavagna secures qualification: Ravenna FC will compete in the Serie D Italian Cup

A solid and determined Ravenna secures its first-ever Serie D Italian Cup final. Building on the 2-0 advantage from the first leg, Marco Marchionni’s side controlled the return match at Lavagna’s Reboli Stadium with confidence, finishing 1-1 and confirming their place in the competition’s decisive showdown.

The match heats up immediately, with Ravenna threatening in the 1st minute as Crosariol delivers a dangerous cross that is cleared by the Biancoverdi defense. In the 4th minute, Lo Bosco finds the net, but the goal is ruled out for a foul in attack by Manuzzi. Ravenna keeps pressing, and in the 11th minute they appeal for a penalty after Manuzzi is pulled in the box, but the referee lets play continue. After half an hour of Giallorossi dominance, Lavagnese begins to show signs of life with a header from Berardi, well saved by Galassi, and a shot from Lombardi that narrowly goes wide.

Ravenna takes the lead right at the end of the first half: Lordkipanidze steals the ball and finds Manuzzi, who unleashes a long-range shot. The attempt is tricky, and Gragnoli fails to deal with it cleanly, allowing the ball to slip into the net for a 1-0 advantage for the Giallorossi.

In the second half, Lavagnese comes out with renewed determination and at the 54th minute they find the equalizer: Mutton times a run on the edge of offside and chips the ball over Galassi with a delicate lob. The Ligurians continue to press and at the 55th minute nearly take the lead with a header from Balan, but the Giallorossi goalkeeper reacts quickly to keep the score level. Ravenna responds at the 58th minute with Lo Bosco, whose shot tests Gragnoli, and again at the 78th minute with substitute Biagi, who comes close to scoring.

In the final moments, Lavagnese presses for a late attack, but it is Ravenna who has the biggest chance: Zagre fires a dangerous diagonal shot that is deflected to a corner by the home defense. At the final whistle, the seventy Giallorossi fans in Liguria can celebrate: Ravenna FC has made history and is now set to compete in the Serie D Coppa Italia final.

Ravenna FC dominates against United Riccione: 4-0 at the Benelli

A clear and convincing win for the giallorossi, who continue their promotion race and remain just 2 points behind Forlì

Ravenna FC wins 4-0 against United Riccione in the 25th round of the league, confirming their good form and determination to stay in the race for promotion. Coach Marchionni opts for a heavy attacking trio, with Guida behind Di Renzo and Zagre, and the decision proves to be immediately successful.

The giallorossi start with great determination, immediately putting pressure on the opponents. The three forwards create at least three clear scoring opportunities in the first few minutes, and in the 31st minute, the goal that breaks the deadlock arrives. Guida, in excellent form, collects a header clearance from a defender and, with great coordination, strikes the ball on the volley from the edge of the box, sending it into the top corner. A spectacular goal, deserved for the superiority shown on the field up until that point. But it’s not over yet: just 7 minutes later, Guida nearly doubles the lead with a curled shot that goes just wide.

In the second half, Ravenna continues to dominate the match. In the 47th minute, a scare for the giallorossi fans: an insert from Esposito leads to a certain goal, but the ball hits the post, then the goalkeeper, and finally Di Renzo, finishing its run without crossing the line. The missed opportunity doesn’t stop Marchionni’s men, who keep pushing forward.
In the 69th minute, the goal that seals the match arrives. Di Renzo, launched by a clever “chip” from Guida, controls the ball and passes it to the number 17 giallorosso, who this time doesn’t miss, sending the ball into the net under the Mero curve. A celebration that speaks of relief for the player and the entire team. A minute later, Di Renzo also finds his personal brace, shielding and finishing a beautiful cross from Milan, who’s increasingly decisive in recent times.
Ravenna doesn’t settle and keeps attacking. Guida, once again inspired by Zagre, comes close to scoring a fourth goal, which arrives on the 85th minute. It’s Lo Bosco, well served by a pass from Zagre, who scores the goal that puts the finishing touch on the match.

Another convincing win for Ravenna, who continues their positive streak and sends a clear message to Forlì, who are only two points ahead after their last-minute victory at Lentigione. The championship is heating up, and the giallorossi don’t want to let go of the top spot in the standings.

Giallorossi on the hunt for three points: tomorrow's challenge against United Riccione

After the draw in Piacenza, the giallorossi want to respond immediately to stay in the chase for the top spot

Ravenna FC returns to the field tomorrow afternoon at the Bruno Benelli to face United Riccione in the 25th round of the league. After the goalless draw against Piacenza, the giallorossi lost their top spot in the standings, but with ten games still to play, just two points behind Forlì and the direct clash to come, the race for the title remains wide open.

Marco Marchionni’s team, unbeaten since the first-leg match against Sasso Marconi, is eager to return to winning ways and capitalize on the Benelli factor, where they have built much of their remarkable journey. Compared to the away game in Piacenza, the giallorossi will look for more effectiveness in the attacking phase, the only aspect to improve in an otherwise solid performance.

From a medical perspective, the situation remains unchanged: Nappello, Mereghetti, Drapelli, Amoabeng, and Ilari remain unavailable.

United Riccione arrives in Ravenna during a challenging season, marked by internal difficulties, but never giving up. The recent victory over Fiorenzuola has provided a boost to the standings and demonstrated that the team is far from being in disarray. The Romagna side will take the field with the determination of a team fighting for survival, ready to give their all.

A high-intensity challenge is therefore expected at the Benelli: Ravenna wants the three points to stay close to the top and continue its run as a protagonist.

Piacenza and Ravenna without goals, but the yellow-reds complain

Scoreless draw at Garilli: Ravenna more dangerous, but Piacenza's fortress holds firm

Il Ravenna returns from Piacenza with just one point, after a match in which they deserved a bit more. The 0-0 result at Garilli leaves some regret for the yellow-reds, who dominated the second half but were stopped by an outstanding Franzini and a questionable incident at the end.

The first half struggles to take off, with few noteworthy chances. Piacenza is the first to threaten Fresia’s goal with a header from Ruiz Giraldo following a cross from Palma, but it misses the target. Ravenna responds with a nice volley from Lo Bosco that goes over the crossbar. The home team tries again with Recino, whose speedy run ends with a shot that goes off target. On the opposite side, the yellow-reds become dangerous with a diagonal shot from Lo Bosco and a powerful effort from outside the box by Rrapaj that just grazes the post.

In the second half, Ravenna increases the pace and quickly comes close to taking the lead with Manuzzi, who from just a few steps away fails to find the goal while in a precarious balance. Piacenza tries to respond on the counterattack with D’Agostino, whose diagonal shot goes wide. From that moment on, it’s a one-sided affair in favor of Ravenna: Biagi shoots high from a good position, Di Renzo breaks through with speed and shoots, forcing a save from Franzini, then Milan and Guida also try their luck, but the Emilia goalkeeper remains vigilant.

In the end, Franzini confirms himself as the best player on the field with a magnificent save on D’Orsi’s close-range header. In the 90th minute, a controversial incident occurs: Guida enters the area and is challenged by Andreoli, but referee Lotito, positioned just a few steps away, allows play to continue amid the protests from the Roma players.

With this draw, Ravenna extends its positive streak, but must continue to chase Forlì, which remains victorious and is now +2 in the standings. The race for the top spot is still wide open.

THE SCORELINE:

PIACENZA - RAVENNA FC 0-0

PIACENZA: Franzini, Zucchini, Recino, Corradi (58’ Anreoli), Tentoni (71’ Muhic), D’Agostino (86’ Stefanoni), Somma, Iob, Palma (86’ Del Dotto), Napoletano, Ruiz Giraldo. available: Di Giorgio, Casazza, Sambou, Delmiglio, Castelli. Coach: Stefano Rossini

Piacenza - Ravenna: high-stakes challenge at Garilli

The yellow-reds away against a Piacenza in search of points for survival

After an intense and satisfying week, Ravenna is preparing to return to the field for one of the most challenging matches of the championship. On Sunday, the yellow-reds will be guests of Piacenza at the Garilli Stadium, in a match that promises to be hard-fought in every aspect.

The home team is experiencing a season well below expectations. After winning the playoffs last season, like Ravenna, Piacenza started with the ambition of fighting for promotion, but the results have never lived up to the premises. The team has gone through a troubled period, with a change in the coaching position between coach Rossini and the subsequent takeover by Carmine Parlato, which did not bring about the hoped-for change in momentum. The club has therefore decided to reappoint Rossini, in the hope of reviving a journey that currently sees the white and reds involved in the battle to avoid the playouts.

Despite the difficulties, Piacenza remains a formidable opponent. On paper, the squad is one of the best equipped in the category, with experienced and high-quality players like Recino, D’Agostino, and Palma, who are capable of making a difference at any moment. Moreover, the need for points to distance themselves from the danger zones represents an additional motivation for a team that will give their all in front of their home crowd.

On its part, Ravenna comes into this match with great enthusiasm. Coach Marchionni’s team has solidified its position at the top of the standings thanks to two convincing home victories: first, a 4-0 win against Imolese in the league, and then a 2-0 victory over Lavagnese in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals. The giallorossi now aim to end this week on a high note, seeking to secure another three crucial points in their pursuit of the final objective.

On the training front, there are no updates on the unavailable players, but Lordkipanidze is back available after serving his suspension. The midfielder is vying for a starting spot, ready to take Ilari’s place, who is sidelined after the injury sustained against Imolese.

Great anticipation in the stands as well: about 250 Giallorossi fans will travel along the Via Emilia to support the team. This is another sign of the passion that accompanies Ravenna this season, in a match that promises to be intense and full of emotions.
